Kenyan Sand Boa Feeding Question

ShutUpAndSmile Aug 13, 2011 10:55 AM

So I have a male kenyan sand boa. I got him on the 22nd of July. He accepted his first meal on the 31st of July. I offered him food on the 7th and 10th of Aug and he rejected him both.
Now my problem/question is..I'm going away on the 14th at like 5ish till the 20th mid day. If he doesn't accept food today or tomorrow will he be okay by himself till I get back? Or should I bring him to my local herp store where I got him to board him till I get back?
He's starting to shed so I know that could be why he's not eating. But I just don't want to come back to a dead or sick snake. :/

Hello,

Put him in a small tub of butter (empty and cleaned out of course) or something similar with a live pinky and put him in a dark drawer for two hours. Come back and your problem should be solved.

Don't worry about air holes. There is enough air in there for your snake for at least 24 hours. If you want you can also poke a few holes in it if your worried.

I've done that before, doesn't work. He pretty Much eats right away if he wants to. Besides that wasn't my problem :x

make sure temps are good and leave fresh water, hell be fine.if you bring him to a pet store to watch him youll stress him and possibly he could pick something up while at the store. probably do him some good being left alone for a few days.
