Hey could you guys help me narrow down exactly what I have here. She is a beautiful specimen and I would love to breed her, but I'm not exactly sure what she is. Im guessing borneo.
Thanks in advance
Charles

Its hard to get a good read on this one but it looks suspiciously like a curtus x breit mix based on the head and color/pattern

Or full curtus at that. Definitely not full Breit.

Charles,
Just my opinion, but this one appears to be an intergrade specimen based on several color, scalation, and pattern distinctions even though it does show many of the characteristics as seen with P. brongersmai. I don't believe there is any P. curtus in this specimen as there is a slight reddish tint to the background coloration, light borders on some of the dorsal blotches, and a very broad area of contact between the anterior pair of parietal scales at the centerline on top of the head. I don't believe you would see any of these features if P. curtus were involved.

However, the dorsal pattern and yellow coloration and characteristic shape of the lateral blotching is highly indicative of P. breitensteini. It would appear that this is quite possibly a brongersmai X breitensteini intergrade, although I could not say that with 100% certainty.

Thanks alot everyone for you replies. And yes in the back of my mind I was figuring the same thing. I was hoping for it to more one way or another but based on her scalation and coloration I had my suspicion. She was sold to be as a blood from a local pet store so I wasn't expecting the best lineage anyway so I guess she'll just be my pet instead of a breeder. Now If I can just get my hand on the "blackest" sumatran shortn-tail pair ajd the deepest red Curtus pair I'll be in business..lol Thanks alot everyone I appreciate it all
