Pics from last month

I hope everyone is still checking this forum for new posts. I have a few friends that only come to kingsnake.com every now & then to check out this forum & some have said they couldnt find it, I told them how, but I just hope everyone else is finding it alright since the change. I'm WAY behind on posting pics (I've got hundreds), I think I'll have time now to keep them comming though. Enjoy!

This thing was awesome! Ant mimic spider I think.

I got dive bombed a bunch by this northern harrier while walking through a field.

After getting some pics of her I staeted walking again & found what she was stressing out about. I went back a couple times after this too (camera-less) & watched them grow from a distance.

Thanks,

Dan Eby

Dan,

Well I haven't been real active in this forum this summer (most everything here is dead/fled/or dormant from the drought)because my field season has, well, sucked.
Still, one of the reasons I always come back is to look at your pics. You take the best Macro nature shots of anybody I know.
Period.
Keep up the good work!
BTW, what was that round thing that looked like it had veins? I'm guessing some sort of mushroom, but ????

Sincerely,
Matt

Dan,

Your welcome. I forget the scientific name for that critter you have there. But I believe I've heard them called "Sun Scorpions" and especially "Vinergaroons".
Weird little beasties by any name! LOL

Matt
