This tire had somthing inside of it that I was very excited to see. Its a bullsnake with no eyes that I've seen before. About 5 years ago or more I found this same exact bullsnake in this same exact tire, but at that time his head injury was fresh. I didnt think he would make it long, but boy was I wrong. I think its amazing that even though it cant see it can still make it back to its same spots during its summer journey.

Daniel has been having fun catching gartersnakes all summer

Found some baby skunks eating some eggs

Thanks,

Dan Eby

I made a point of finding this forum after the changes... bit of a pain not having all the forums available on a single page.

Very cool as always Dan... love the attitude those harrier chicks are giving you. When I go birding on the salt marshes or sand dunes here I always have to keep an eye skyward... arctic terns will dive bomb you as well... have taken a few beaks to the head and back on a couple of occasions.

That bullsnake... now that is a great little story... says a lot about just how much they rely on their other senses to survive... five years like that and he doesn't look as if he's missed a meal!
