Scorpion Mud turtles

mahlerfan Sep 04, 2011 05:15 AM

Is anyone else on this forum keeping Scorpion Mud turtles? I'm currently keeping pairs of both the northern and southern forms.
Below is a comparison photo between the northern form (left)of Kinosternon scorpioides scorpioides and the southern form (right), which at one time was thought to be a different subspecies - Kinosternon scorpioides seriei. The most obvious difference is the greater adult size of the southern form.
