Is it OK to hibernate my adult turtle?

Linda G Sep 10, 2011 08:08 PM

To my knowledge she has never been hibernated. I got her from someone that purchased her at a petstore. I did not hibernate her along with Baby T last year as she had not been good eater and needed to put on some weight. She has been on a good diet and has eaten pretty much every day or every other day. She is almost 500 grams now.

Thanks,
Linda

Absolutely. I always do mine indoors, and have for years. I have control of their hibernaculum that way. Let me know if you need info.

Thanks-I also hibernate indoors. I feel it is much more controlled.
