I found my 3rd timber rattlesnake of the year this afternoon. Considering that I usually don't see any live specimens in a given year, I'm doing pretty good. This one was coiled up in situ off a hiking trail in Oconee County, South Carolina. Who says they don't have Canebrake phase timbers in the mountains?

Justin

Holly crap that is cool looking. You are very lucky to get to find those, & I am very jealous!
