Mulch in Baby Diamond Python's Mouth

Last night when feeding my snake, he ended up with a piece of cypress mulch stuck in his mouth. His mouth closes completely, but I am not certain whether or not it is still there. Is there anything I can do? Should I take him to the vet? Thanks
