Male or Female Redfoot?

zaneygirl Sep 18, 2011 11:47 AM

I purchase this red foot at a Petsmart where he/she was sharing a tiny tank with a Russian tortoise. He is 6" long and has some pyramiding. I am researching on how to provide the best possible home for him! Any advice/info would be appreciated! Especially is it a PETE or a PETUNIA!!

There is an old saying with tortoises.
If it looks like a female, it could be a male.
If it looks like a male, it's a male.

I am 99% sure that is a male. Hooked in supracaudal and its body is shaped like a male. (narrower in the middle).

Good luck!
