All i know is that i have a grey banded kingsnake in a 29gal tank, i have a UTH and propper accomadation for her. Shes 2 years old and 31" long. She eats roughly 3 hopper sized mice a month and was rather skinny when i got her. I was wondering what was with her color, all the other greybandeds i look up are light greyish blue banded. Also i keep reading alterna and blair morphs im assuming based off pure description shes a alterna.

She's a typical blairs phase altera. Very nice. But three hopper mice a month is very light in my opinion. At the size you say the snake measures, that would be a weekly meal at least.

I only got her around 7 weeks ago at wich point her previous owner was feeding her about 2 a month at best and they were not big enough to be concidered hoppers IMO so im slowly taking her up on feeding, shes eaten 4 in the past 6 weeks(parshily due to shedding) but i do plan on bringing her up to 4 a month or up to the next size mouse, also she eats F/th but again previous owner was giving her live. She is currently in shed again(she was in the pic) her orange and grey are normaly MUCH more robust. Thanks for the input good to know shes a blairs. So what size mouse do you think i can bring her up to and how often

If the snake is 31" long I would be feeding it small adult mice. One to two per week.
