Box turtle hatched

boxienuts Sep 24, 2011 10:20 PM

This little guy was the only one out of 4 that hatched, the other 3 eggs looked like unfirtilized yoke when I cut them open, I knew they were probably bad because the eggs didn't stay white and towards the end molded a bit, but I was still hoping they would hatch untill the bitter end. This guys is cute though so 1 is better than none. I found the eggs out in the pen in mid July and this guy hatched about 60 days later incubated at approx 83 degrees on Repashy super hatch medium. Notice the egg tooth?
