Good morning everyone,

It appears this forum has cooled down before the actually alterna have been cooled down for the year, lol.

I hope that everyone is doing well with their alterna!

And some of us have all our hatchlings eating already but don't like to post anything because of the negative attitudes associated with this particular forum.

What negative attitidues associated with this forum??? Do you actually have proof that "all" of your alterna hatchlings are eating? If your documentation is showing they are, maybe that documentations is falsified.

My comments above are meant to be critical of your post. You seemed intent on perpetuating negativity so I thought that I would accomodate you by questioning whether or not your babies are really eating. Is that what you wanted?

You are a genius, truly just brilliant. Wow, I am completely blown away, keep up the good work.

I am humbled by the sheer greatness of being in such a genius's presence.

Thanks a lot. If you really think that I am a genius, you must be really thirsty for knowledge. Keep the compliments coming, I always like to here them.

BTW, my comments really were meant as a joke. That should be obvious since I do not know you from squat. But, I guess if you could not see that, maybe my assessment of you is correct. LOL

Interesting to hear that from a more experienced alterna keeper. This was my first year to breed them, and so far I have 11 of 17 that have eaten. Several have eaten enough to have grown quite a bit, while some have only eaten a couple of times.

It was all a joke. I know that a lot of breeders are trying to get their newborn alterna to eat, including myself.

There is no reason to be critical of everything that goes on in this post.

mrkent Sep 30, 2011 10:56 PM

Sorry, it wasn't my intention to be critical. Just an observation.

Sorry if you thought it was meant for you. It wasnt. How are the babies going btw? What did you scent your alterna with to get them started?

mrkent Oct 01, 2011 04:15 PM

I have scented with anoles and fence lizards. Some required an anole, with a pinky chain fed.

I am about to turn off the heat for the non-eaters after another attempt or two.
