My iguana won't eat D:

Taztheiguana Sep 30, 2011 02:54 PM

I just got my iguana a week ago, and he won't eat. It's a baby iggy, I tried to feed him through a bowl, he didn't go for it, so I tried to hand feed him, he didn't want it. He hasn't eaten in a while, I leave food overnight so I'm not too sure what he does overnight but he doesn't seem to even touch his food. Any help>

while i'm no expert i would say leave him alone, dont handle him. he is probably stressed from new enviroment and handling, Just let him be for a bit, give some fresh food everyday for awhile and just observe from a distance and he should find the food dish on his own.

Sometimes when they are really tiny you don't see them eat. Get a postal scale and weigh him once a week. Other than that, do what ageber said and leave him completely alone.
