Nice pickup John. I too have one coming from Troy, tomorrow. He produced some real beauties this year.

I had a hard time choosing between two, but finally went with this male.

Yep that is a nice male....I wanted the one pictured to the right of it because of the patternless head......

I traded Troy a pair for the female I did get......Making room, moving animals out and building a future breeding stock.....

I love those Hallow Saddled Thayeri.....
Here's a male I produced 7 or so years ago.......

And a Holdback from this year:

Oh yeah, that female is special. Do you know if the male changed color much as he aged? Think the female will stay orange or turn out more rose colored?

The 2004 male was the same color when he passed as he was when he hatched......He was 2 in that picture I believe......

The 2011 female holdback has some apricot/vermillion coloration in her.....I think she will lighten up to a nice orange/buckskin or maybe even rose color as you suggested.....she may stay orange with the strong bloodlines......I will definitely raise her and up and get to see.......Her father is a nice yellow VR line leonis and her mother is a burnt orange leonis F1 from Dan Vermilya.
