this is gonna be (hopefully) my first year breeding them. the info i have read and heard is that at least 4 years old for female and 2 for male. both of mine are just those ages this year.
so, hopefully all goes well with them

Thanks for your response its greatly appriciated
well, my female has been slow grown. she is about 4 - 4 1/2 feet long at 4 years.
im super excited about finally getting my pair to breeding age.
im a reticguy but really love the fwc and looking forward to this project
im a big believer in age maturity over size maturity

Oh wow 4.5ft after 4 yrs mines is almost 4.5ft and shes only just under a yr.I've looked into it more also and the feed back i'm getting is 2-3 yrs old.I'm getting anxious that's for sure. Now i just have to start looking for a male for her next yr.
ive just always felt that having them a little older makes for generally better (and bigger) clutches. the risk of having them go at the earliest possible, is them slugging out the clutch.
not to say that good clutches dont happen or anything.
yeah, my female went off feed for a year the year before last (i think she was heat stressed and i couldnt find that perfect temp for her) finally found it last year, and she is back to being an eating machine and packin on the size. age wise, she is ready to bust out a clutch. size wise, probably wont drop a big clutch her first time since she is not where she "should" be.
but i cant wait to put my pair together and hope to get something good. my male may be a hypo, so lookin forward to that as well.
