Update on Taz and new pics

Really Oct 14, 2011 04:14 PM

Taz is doing really well. He scared us by appearing to have the same illness as Arwen had when we first got him back from his outdoor adventure. The vet thought it was just the stress of recapture and it appears he was right. Over the past two weeks he has gained 8 grams and is no longer showing any signs of illness. I'm so relieved!

And, after four months there is still no trace of green on him. My fingers are locked in a permanently crossed position.

He's afraid of the camera so I can't get a relaxed picture.

Looking good! Mine has retained his blue as well...no green anywhere! I will post pics when I can get a decent one

Great Robert! Looking forward to seeing them!

He's shedding like crazy. Here is one from yesterday. Poor baby was so itchy he actually let me hold him and scratch.

yeah my little guy is shedding like crazy to! I can't waite tell he starts putting size on him. I went and picked up a new cage from someone off of another forum and got to meet her igs. She had an 18 pound male green ig! He was impressive...I can only hope are little blue iguanas reach that size! I think they would be very impressive..especially if they retain their colors!

I thought you had, but wasn't sure. It is so much fun watching them grow up. I'm still really nervous about Taz, but he is doing so much better that I am cautiously optimistic.
