I was doing some herping in southern Illinois earlier in the month and came across this large Black Racer on a hike in a protected natural area.
It was a pretty cool snake that looked like it had just eaten a large meal (probably another snake).

seen a large DOR racer a while back that had a garter snake sticking out of its side. poor racer had a big meal, digesting on some warm asphalt and that was that
