So, the jiffy. I have been a critter lover since i could walk. and when i moved in with my boyfriend jorhe my red earred slider came with. I found out my boyfriend was obsessed with turtles. There is a certain few I like. he is trying to out do me in my turtles compared to his turtles. So when i got pinky my teeny tiny little common snapper with pink/orange sides he was hooked but wanted alligator snappers. He drove almost 2 hrs from our house to pick up this pair of ally snappers. When he got home to show me what he had i laughed. His "ally snappers" look the same as my beloved tiny pinkie. He now thinks that since his buster and babs has white around the edges of their shells they are more "special" than my Pinky. Pinky i dont think is anymore special,except his adorable cuteness. but the bf's driving me mad. Please some one help me rest my case! (and fall in love with my pinky as i have ) PS I am right these are common snappers

the black and white he has is common....let me warn you dont put them in the same tank.....they are extremely territorial and will fight all the time....I had 3 together and once they got soe size about a year old i had to seperate them..i removed the most aggressive one thinking the other two would be ok....nope....they are ferocious lil jokers....love em....ive since gotten rid of the commons and had an ally now for a year...My commons would take food from my hand....the allys are much more standoffish....the more aggressive of the 2 is def the commons..good luck with them...they are a treat and they are dirty jokers

Also, The allys will kill the common. Cute turtles!!!
