feeding adult black throats

jojay327 Nov 10, 2011 07:56 PM

I was at a reptile show and saw a huge blackthroat walking on a leash. he was very friendly. I was just curious how much food do the adults eat, I have looked online and just see what they eat or should eat but not a feding scheduale as far as how much or how often. I don't have or plan on getting a black throat but i just love learning about reptiles and i became very curious after seeing this big guy. Thanks for the help. Jay

A few mice every other day.

Depends on age and size, also activity levels of the individual, the environment they live in, and choices available to them in that environment. My big adult is around 11 years old, she eats one large rat a week usually now.
