Hey all. Got a question...Any of you people who work with gtp's. Is it common that your adults stop eating this time of year? I have a young adult male jaya whos never been a shy eater. He shed three weeks ago and has refused food. The temps in my snake room do drop at night to 76-78 deg f. Temps come up to 83-84 deg f during the day. Hes still his ornery self and looks and acts normal. I adopted him last february. He is coming of breeding age so this normal? Thanks.Rich

your night temps seem a little low.I keep my night drops in the low 80s.I have 2 breeding age males that go off feed this time of year. One has been off for 2 months. As long as he acts normal and seems fit he should be fine.

Hey Rich,

Your temps are fine. Probably just interested in breeding not feeding. He'll turn on again when he's ready. Hope that helps. Take care.
