Found a lump on my bairds

ratsncorns Nov 15, 2011 10:42 AM

I noticed this the other day but didnt think much of it as sometimes he gets an enlarged throat area prior to shedding. But today I got a much better look at it. Its very hard and moveable but attached. I looked in his mouth and you can see the lump pushing into his throat. I dont think abscess as I dont see an area where he injured himself. Guess I will need to find a local herp vet to take a look at him... my poor lumpy boy! (dont mind his nose rubbing bump too)

Any suggestions?

I've seen that happen a few times and it always goes away on its own accord. Not sure what causes it though.

Turns out its an abscess. He's going in for surgery to get it removed on Nov 28th. At least its nothing serious!
