New pick up. ISABELLE!!!

zippy00_99 Nov 21, 2011 01:14 AM

I picked this girl up from a guy in Chicago who said that she came from Tom Crutchfield. I called Tom, and he asked me to send him pics. So I did, and sure enough, he told me that this girl came from Isabelle, AND that she was WC. I have never owned a WC. ALL of my ball pythons have been CBB. I am so exited to have her, BUT she is the most wicked snakes in the world! She is a BITER! She strikes sideways, and backwards and every other such way. This behavior led me to believe that she was WC, and sure enough, she is. She just took her first frozen thawed rat tonight with GUSTO!

So now I am looking into getting a male that is just as beautiful, but would prefer more white. Red or any other color is fine, but I definitely need the white!!! I can't find ANY for sale ANYWHERE! Please let me know if you have a litter coming. Would love to start breeding these guys!

Her is my beauty. Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics, but it is all I have.

I might have another litter soonish. Keep in touch. Babies are tough to get feeding though...

They pop up in the classifieds somewhat regularly so keep an eye out for rodent feeders!

Don't have any available at this time. I will post a photo of the adults when I get home (on phone right now). These come from my high orange line.

Hey, thanks for posting pics.Nice one.Saw a female the other day-in the classifieds-FOR $900.00!I have 2 gravid females-WC x Conway stock and WC x WC , but like Chris said they can be a [bleep] it will be years before they are of mating age.I may have little ones by Feb.You need 2 adult males.I'll ask around-I know several breeders and importers who avoid kingsnake.com.

I breed my Candoia using only 1 male... Two are not always required.

very true you dont need two,I'm also unsure what happens if the same female is bred by two different males,do you get one litter of offspring with genes from both fathers? It's hard to have too many candoia.I want to cross mine with a Dumerils supposedly they are closely related and have the same odd type of hemipenes.Artificial insemination of course,I think my Dumerils would make a snack of a paulsoni.Good Luck!

I am not a big fan of the dark snakes, but the one in your pic is very pretty.

zippy00_99 Dec 02, 2011 11:20 AM

I will try with one. If it doesn't happen after 3 tries, I will get another male.

zippy00_99 Dec 02, 2011 11:19 AM

I don't have the space for more than one, and I've got time. I am not in a huge rush to breed these guys. I just fell in love with the color and pattern, and wanted to see what kind of genetics would come out of this girl. Trying to breed for more white. Thank you for responding, I had grim hopes for this page as it looks like NO ONE is working with these guys anymore. These few posts have really given me hope.

I held her last night for 1 minute without a strike. Next weeks cleaning I will try for 2 minutes, and so on until I can hold her for 30 minutes without a strike, then the gloves will come off, and the adrenalin will skyrocket again..LOL.
