What do you consider "cheap"?

I've seen some really good deals in the forums here for generic snakes.

no1lizardguy40 Nov 28, 2011 06:54 PM

Prob way too cheap to be even asking for but what are some of the best deals you have seen?

I see a few for 250-300 and have seem them at shows for less. I could have picked up a small GTP that was hella vicious for $175 at the last Hamburg show I was at.

no1lizardguy40 Nov 28, 2011 07:35 PM

Wow 175 is not bad at all and yea I'm hoping to get lucky and find something around 150. I know good luck for that but it happens.

If you cant afford $300 for a cbb gtp then you cant afford the proper cage/heat/thermostat. You get what you pay for so same some cash or buy a different species.

I have the proper cage and everything I have been getting everything piece by piece for years for cheap or free all over the place I can't afford any of what I have and that's why I am just asking nicely to see if any1 knows of any good deals. I know I can't afford that price but I love these snakes and am just hoping one day to get lucky.

If you want a chondro cheap, you will get a cheap chondro. Save for awhile. Buy from a reputable BREEDER that will help you if you run into problems. Pay more. Get more. Make owning a chondro something that you will enjoy. Not something you will regret.

Good luck!

I just picked up a hand tame young adult CBB Biak for $200 at the Northern Virginia Reptile Expo. He was the only one there and I bargained with the owner by showing him the setup I had ready for him and that he would be going to a great hom. Come to find out he is a caclio on top of being 30% yellow! I am sure you will find one as well at a show, good luck.
