Hatchling snow and albino Subocs

MikeMurphy Dec 03, 2011 04:52 PM

These guys hatched out over Thanksgiving weekend. I took these quick shots as I was setting them up. They are starting to shed now so I'll take some better shots over the next few days.

They are from an albino blonde female, het silver x snow normal pattern male, het blonde (owned by Dusty Rhoads). Four color/pattern combinations were possible and we got them all: snow blonde, snow normal, albino blonde, albino normal.

There were 11 eggs laid, all good and all hatched. Of the 11, 5 were albino normal, 3 were albino blonde, 2 were snow blonde and 1 was snow normal. Pretty neat snakes. Lots of pinks and orangesWas fun watching this clutch hatch because of the variety. And we didn't know for sure that the male was het blonde until the eggs started hatching, so that was cool to verify.

So cool!

Hey, good news, I think there are TWO Albino Blondes in there…one coiled “north" of the water bowl, and the other is in the most top-right part of the photo, laid out.

Ha! My bad! I thought you wrote there was 1 Albino Blonde.

Can’t stop looking at these! What a handsome group of snakes.
