Here is my baby skink. Is he a Northern or Irian Jaya?
Sorry, I am not sure how to tell them apart at this time. I got him in October and I swear he has doubled in size already.

Looks Irian to me. Northern's don't have dark legs, and more yellow/orange in the body.

How big should I expect him to grow? Is this the biggest of the skinks? I think I read somewhere they can grow to 30"

He should grow about 18-24 inches like most Blue Tongue Skinks. Meraukes tend to be the longest, while Northerns tend to be the biggest. The 30 inch one (If your talking about the same one I'm talking about) wasn't 30inches but 28inches, "creeping" into 30 inches. None have gotten to 30 inches but a rare few have gotten close.
