I just brought this guy home yesterday. He defecated a small amount last night. Tonight I noticed he started defecating again, but after looking closely I noticed it's green and slimy and some of it was stuck to his tail for a minute. Then I noticed that his hemipenes were out and his spurs were erect. This is my first adult male python so I don't know if it's sperm or diarrhea. Thanks for any insight.

Ok, so I cleaned out the cage and it was just loose droppings. But, I don't know if the green slime on tope was sperm. I noticed there was a small clear spur stuck to it. Is this normal, do they shed or lose spurs? I believe he had both his spurs after he did his business. I just got concerned because I've never seen one with erect spurs and hemipenes!

I jumped the gun, looks like just the tip of the cloaca.

The tissue around the cloaca should not be green.
At times chondros can kick out some mucus especially with teeth.
Which is what I am guessing you saw and called a spur.

Anyway yeah just keep an eye on him and you can always drop a fecal off at the vet.
