I will guess male. Next time include another inch of the tail in the photo, the hemipene bulge is not viewable in the picture you provided.

Good , i was hoping it/he was . I didn't realy want to deal with eggs every year .

Not to be the bearer of bad news-
But at approx that age, Petra was mad chunky at that age.Looked just like that...even had a chunky tai....full of fat and muscle.
And like 2 year like clockwork, she was full of eggs. (eww.)
I thought she was a girl..then the fat happened and i seconded guessed myself, and then...stoped eating and we wound up taking her to the vet and discovering the eggs

Until i see HIS ? Male parts i am not going really expect anything It/he does LOOK like a male though ,looking at the bulge on each side of the tail and a small recess/dent in the middle . BUT I hopes it a male . 
either way i sure love this little thing .
