Leucistic Elongated Tortoise

drsam Jan 08, 2012 06:46 PM

I had two eggs in one of my clutches of Elongated; both animals came out what looks like Leucistic to me, what do you think?
I am also showing normal for comparison.

Hi Sam. I would say you are right. Leucistic or amelanistic could describe what I can see in the photo. What color are their eyes? If you know the sire of the babies, I would keep breeding that one to the female who produced the eggs and you can start an "Ivory" Elongated colony.

The baby looks great in the photo. Congratulations on the success.

Very nice....Got to agree you got a light one there! Here is a pic of my lightest one on the right. As you can see it is not even in the same ballpark as yours. Congrat's---I agree keep breeding those adults that produced this one. From time to time shoot us another pic of the light one. I'm also interested in the eye color????? Later Richard
