Cage in Basement Question

rottenweiler9 Jan 20, 2012 08:58 AM

Hey, its been a long time since I have posted anything, but wanted to see if anybody else has this set up. I have 6 ft vision cages. Right now I have all the vents blocked off except for about six inches, I even have the light part covered. I also have the cage wrapped in that silver bubble stuff to keep the heat in. I am also running a Kane Heat Mat and a Large Radient panel on the far left side.

The basement right now in IL during winter is 62 degrees. I was thinking of removing the covering from the light part and putting some lights in there, so when I was down there I could see them in their cages instead of being dark. Anyone else have this same set up or similar.

Thank you

Jeff

Winslow here,
I suggest creating a celetex foam plastic and foil backed insulation board sub room to hold heat and humidity. You can use duct tape to connect and hinge as well as to make tabs on the plastic wrap side on the open edges for access.

Works great for me in many applications.
