Need an easy to breed, small gecko

varanid Jan 23, 2012 11:05 AM

I work with florida kings and (recently) cribos. I do breed the kings and plan to breed the cribos either in 2013 or 2014--both of these species can be rather stubborn as far as getting th em on rodents out of the egg, so I'm looking for a small, easy to breed inexpensive gecko that's fairly prolific so I can have a source of lizard feeders for any picky babies. I've got a spare 20 high tank I'd like to use for them and of course an assortment of bulbs and heat elements I can use. Would house geckos, med geckos or something else be a good bet? I'm down with making it a neat little display too--small geckos are awesome animals in thier own right.

Hope I don't cause too much offense by posting this in the gecko section...but I'd like to get the colony up and rolling in the next 3-4 months so it's well established. I also have 2 spare 10 gallons and a 20 long...so I can sort out offspring some as needed.

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.

House geckos and meds all would be great choices, especially if you live in an area that they've already colonized.cheap, easy to breed, prolific, you'll probably end up with more than you need.
