REPTILE PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!!

cychluraguy Jan 28, 2012 10:18 AM

I hope I got your attention!
I can't believe there are less then 5000 signatures on the python petition.

https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition/overturn-python-ban/4wGFbc4Y

You people should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
Does no one have a wife or husband? children? friends? more than one e-mail address?
Even with 25,000 signatures it will barely get noticed it should have 100,000 signatures.
At this rate it will not have 10,000 by the end and we will be a joke to everyone that is against us, they will get emboldened and go for much more.
So get off your lazy asses or you deserve when they take it all away!!!

A petition at this point, is about the most worthless waste of energy possible. In fact, petitions are pretty worthless as a whole. CLICK HERE TO SEE WHAT I MEAN

Additionally, I've seen SEVERAL petitions JUST LIKE THAT ONE. My guess is that the attention is being divided.

Perhaps you could start a petition to allow for the combining of similar petitions to be taken seriously?

1st off I did not start this petitoion but it is out there so we need to sign it because it will be used against us if it fails. Will it turn over anything I doubt it those in charge just do as they please, but with 100,000 signatures it would get noticed.
Weather you think it will be effective or not are you so busy that its not worth 5 minutes of your time if nothing else for USARK or anyone else to point to and say look how many people are concerned about this because with only 5000 signatures the "Bad Guys" will say look how few people care about this.

I never said you initiated the petition.

But I am a bit concerned in your insistence that everyone sign this or else it will be held over our heads. If "the powers that be" wouldn't take it seriously if it garnered 50,000 signatures, why would they take it seriously if it only garnered 500? If they see petitions as worthless, then they see petitions as worthless regardless of the number of signatures.

Besides, are we supposed to go hunting around the internet for all of the various incarnations of "reverse the python ban" petitions (I've lost track of how many I've seen, but it's been SEVERAL) to ensure that each and every one of them get 100,000 signatures? If that's what you believe, then our opposition has an easy fight ahead of them. Just create 1 new petition per day and force our community to sign them all or risk having one of them presented against us as a failure.

I hope that this illustrates why the vast majority of us aren't worried about this petition, or any other that's been started and that you shouldn't concern yourself with it either. There are better ways to spend our time, energy, and effort - yours too

The only petition for our cause that I'm willing to sign is one that has the backing of a large organization (such as USARK) because without a large organizational "push", it's unlikely that any petition will garner much attention.
