I was really really hoping that my friend who probed Tazumal was mistaken and that he would turn out to be a female. However, I think I am seeing little bulges and his pores are fairly visible for his size. What do yall think?

Really hard to tell from the pic, but I do swear that I see pores.

That is what I am thinking. I'm going to try to get a better picture of what I think are bulges, but need to get some new batteries first.

He is only about 9 1/2 months, Cindy.
Does look kinda' male-ish! One thing for sure, it's definitely blue!! Wow!
Jeff
I guess I am going to have prepare myself for future breeding seasons.... I was hoping to only have to deal with eggs. lol Maybe he'll be one of those miracle males who stays nice even during his season. A girl can dream, right>
And yeah, Jeff, real sunlight really does bring out his color nicely! He's lost his beautiful white dewlap though. I was hoping that would stay but some color changes are inevitable as they grow.

I personally would much rather deal with a male in season than egging females. Much less stressful for me. I dont know YOUR sex, but a few words of advice. If you are female, when he hits sexual maturity, be prepared for him to react to your cycles.

I know, Cindy. I am female and have had a male green before. I SWORE I would never have another male. Mayan was a nightmare with my cycles.
Egg time may be nerve wracking but I'd rather deal with a female's breeding season than a males. I suppose the chances of my being lucky enough to have one of those rare males who stays nice even during breeding season is pretty nil. LOL
I think if he's less than ten months old and I'm seeing this I can stop doubting his gender.... Right?

Looks like mine at that age... He turned out to be very handsome boy.

I would safely say at this point, you have a boy.
