Hello All... I have a Black & White Banded California King. He has become quite aggressive as of late. Is it because he is still hungry? He is now considered a sub-adult. I have been feeding him 5 pinkies, the last feed, I gave him a hopper. Hope this helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, how do you post pics on here? Thanks.

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. I hope that it is just because he is hungry! Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That snake is too small to be on pinks.

i'm sure the snake is quite hungry... give him a large fuzzy/ small hopper every 4ish days for a while. the prey item should be about as big around as the snake and leave a nice buldge without strething the skin tight.

kings are known for being hungry all the time and wanting to eat nearly anything that moves. 3 of mine will slam their face up against the plastic when i move their cages (trying to eat my fingers), but i give them a couple pokes with a snake hook and it snaps them out of the feeding response and they become totaly tame and handle well.

so get him eating bigger prey items, and avoid picking him up when he's in "attack mode".
