Beautiful animals, Toby! I really love that first shot...cool color & head pattern.

Thanks Carl!
This is a very underrated species, IMO. BTW, that same female is in pic #2 in the same post and also in pics #1 and #2 in the previous post. She has a very different look in bright sunlight - wish my pics were better - I am NOT a photographer. LOL

Love the green vs. red looks of the two animals in the 1st pic, 1st post!

Carl
The greenish / yellowish one is the same female you liked (in outdoor bright sunlight), and the reddish one is an older male. Interestingly, I have bred the female to another male which is yellower - and the offspring have resembled the fathers rather than the mother...

stunning animals,
I used to breed central china dione when I was in Italy,
very yellow and beautiful red head.
Probably I will import some from Europe later this year
Thanks!
Good to know that more are coming into the U.S. - I know that this species is very popular in Europe, and there are several morphs, locales, and phases available over there...

Carl

Yep, I also agree - would love to get my hands on some of the diones he has...

That's a great looking snake, Terry - is it one you currently own? Any plans for breeding diones or bimacs this year? Still got any 2011 bimacs?

Thanks, Toby. That guy was one of the reasons I got into diones. He's the father of all of our South Korean dione. I don't have him anymore, but I'll be breeding some of his progeny this year, along with a couple bimacs. I have a few bimacs from last year too, providing they do ok over the winter.
Later...TC

It would be great to get some new young bimacs this year. I have some different things I am going to try with breeding mine - as well as some other species...
