new ornate pics

so i got lucky again i think or actually i hope i just rescued a ornate baby from the local reptile rescue for 60.00 and the lady was telling me about how the previous owner told her that it was born 4 months ago and 0ne out of 8 eggs that hatched was an albino! ive never herd of an albino ornate but im not to sure well as i looked at the baby i have it has a lack of pigment on its lower jaw and one side of the fork on his tongue is white and the rest is pink. is it possible to have a het for albino ornate monitor? here a few pics please let me know im curious

IT looks great. I supposed it's possible. I mean animals like that do occur in the wild, including the albino. They surviving until adulthood is a different story. You may just lucked out and got the het, yes. But, don't believe everything you hear.

Hi again, no you don`t have an albino, just a normal young (not a "baby" Varannus ornatus, in very nice condition from what I can see, so you`re still very lucky to have him/her!

It could be possible, but then again, very rarely are ornates hatched in captivity. Sometimes they're advertised as such, but most of the time its BS. But, then again, I'm usually wrong haha.

well if all goes well within 2 years i hope to try my hand at breeding but who knows. just play it by ear thanks for the input everyone

Hello Charlie,

If you keep them heated and well fed their growth will surprise you. If you have a good pair raising up together, you may beat breeding well under 2 years... Nice lizards! Best to You- Mike S
