Beautiful! Even though I have never been successful at getting mine (Croatians) to breed - the species still holds a lot of fascination for me. John Lassiter (as he posted below) has my pair, and got good eggs last year from the female - but the babies did not make it to hatching. Hoping for a better year with them. I am still considering starting again with some babies of a Greek line...

Here are some pics of last years hatchling from my striped Greek line. I've posted these before, but maybe some haven't seen them.

I've seen the pics before - but don't mind seeing them again. Nice situla as always, Matt!

Beautiful! Yet another species I'd like to keep someday.

think I got lucky with this line. They come out of the egg feeding like pigs. I know some locals can be a pain in the bum.

one of my favorites too!
I want to start with them again, I breed situlas for years in Italy.
My preferred ones are those with red blotches on clean silver, also if is difficult to resist at a red head!
I hope to find some pictures of the ones I had.
I had a big male with red head that was eating A LOT!!!
I had my male breeder that as adult was eating no more than 5 - 6 times a year.
Beauties!
I had my first success with this species last year.
Love them...
