Hello, I'm new here but not entirely to reptiles. I was wondering if using a "plant and aquarium bulb" bought at my local Lowes was okay to use rather than a reptiglo bulb is the UV output different or will i be okay using the non name brand?

The best thing you can do is pick up a UV meter and check the levels yourself.

I love buying from Petco. they have a really good brand, Reptisun.
Most plant bulbs put out UVA but not UVB. You would definitely need to check the UVB level with a meter. Otherwise, I would stick to bulbs specifically designed for reptiles with guaranteed UVB output.
