Cool! I'll be getting a pair of those from my friend Rob, soon...

And - maybe some laticinctus next year...

I'm sure you'll like the coxi. They have a very unique temperment about them. They have sort of a cocky and challenging attitude. The ones I've worked with and others I've seen don't ever run from you. I know it sounds strange and it is. Very different from other species I've worked with.

Nice diadem rat snake below.

Thanks Randy! The diadems are pretty different attitude-wise too. Hard to put my finger on, but handle sort of like a cross between a bullsnake and a coachwhip. LOL

I've admired the porphyraceus snakes from a distance for a long time, but I have been a bit scared about taking any of them on due to them not dealing with warm temps very well (or not at all according to some). I'll probably run up a high electric bill trying to keep the house cool enough for them in 100 plus degree south Texas summer heat. Regardless of that, I have steadily become more and more excited about finally keeping some. Have you kept any of the other subs - laticinctus, pulchra, or vaillanti? BTW - those are some great looking coxi, and a nice beefy looking one in that last pic too...
