Back in October 2011 i decided to get a bearded dragon so i read up on everything i could read about them, so i went to the nearest pet store. the guy there seemed to know a lot about them and even said that he had raised a few so i bought everything that he said i needed except for the dragon, took it home and set it up. Its a size 40 tank, Exo Terra Sun-Glo Basking Infrared Spot Lamp on the left side, Ceramic Infrared Heat Emitter 100 Watt on the right to keep night time temp up, Zilla Slimline Desert 50 UVB T8 Fluorescent Fixture in the back, temperature of the tank is 94 degrees on the basking side (left) and 80ish degrees on the cool side (right) humidity ranges from high 30s to low 40s. a week later i decided it was time to get the dragon, so i bought it and brought it home. it was eating and drinking just fine. a week later it stopped eating. i tried hand feeding it and at still wouldn't eat. i called the store up they told me to bring it back because it was still with in 30 day guarantee and that they would watch it and if need be take to the vet. two days later it died. this has happened 2 times now same exact way. i would like to know if anyone has any ideas on if i am doing something wrong or if i didn't get the right set up.

You dont mention the food, however with an animal dying with in a week, I find it hard to believe it was something you did.

I would not purchase from the same place. Perhaps consider looking at our classifieds and contacting a breeder that specializes with beardies instead of a general pet store.
