Here's a Lava female. I have yet to capture their true look on camera. The flash bleaches the richness of their hue. They won't stay still for a pic with no flash. Here's the female I'm hoping will produce this year. The pair are "Red" Lavas from Joe Pierce.

Very pretty! Forgive my ignorance but is Lava a type of hypo?

Yeah Rob they are a type of Hypo, but they are a completely different gene. If you breed a hypo to a Lave you will get double hets. Strawberry however is another type of hypo that is supposed to be compatable with hypo type-A. That's what I have read anyway, I haven't done it yet, but I will try it this year. My strawberry motley male is het for Anery, and my Hypo-a female is possible het for Silverqueen ghost, or more accurately Anery also, from a Silverqueen ghost, and so they shoule make some interesting babies all het for motley.

Yes, they are another unique form of hypo. It's also known as hypo type "C". They have very distinct ruby-red eyes as well.

Very nice Lava Jorge!..
