Burmese Star will not eat, 5 days help

terrygar Mar 10, 2012 12:53 PM

Hello I have a Burmese star and for some reason last monday she stopped eating. She is 7 years and 6 lbs
We took her to the vet and he found the parasite: Nipototherus
and gave us some panacor to give her with food. She took a large dump at the vet and he said it probably was not an egg issue.
She will not take any food, she like soaking and stays in, we just started using pediacare in the water to help.
She is aware and just not eating.
Help please if you have any tricks

I don't think the panacure did the trick with this particular parasite. I would suggest taking him/her to a vet who is experience with herps and are familiar with chelonians. I would suggest checking out this link that help you find an experienced vet. Best of luck to you!
