My first trip to Louisiana this year to see some milks and what do I find a natural gas drilling rig right in the spot where I have gone for years.

I have lost some good copperhead and rattler dens due to mining and construction. Money, greed and no respect for the environment. It will always be that way so long as humans are here.

That is so true. I have been going to this spot for over 10 years, and have layed out over 200 pieces of tin that I cut in three foot lengths. I ALWAYS see at least 15 to 20 Louisiana Milk snakes, and now the poor little guys have been plowed under for the sake of a buck in someone's pocket.
