Anyone else use ceramic heat emitters?

markg Mar 20, 2012 01:04 PM

While I am aware that undertank heating is very effective for leos, I have been using ceramic heat emitters for the last 6 months. All seems to be well. The heat does penetrate to the floor and heats anything down there. Thought I'd ask - does anyone else use CHEs? Are there any reasons not to?

I've had a ceramic element radiating down from the top on one side of my terrarium, in addition to an under-tank heat pad on the same side, for the last 8 yrs with my 3 adult females. No problems whatsoever
