Green Tree Neo's

mightymouseec04 Apr 03, 2012 10:36 AM

I am looking to get a pair of green tree pythons in the near future and want to get them as babies. I do have experience with green tree pythons along with anacondas, carpet pythons and tegu’s so am not concerned about the amount of attention/maintenance they require. My main question is what is the benefit of getting a Yellow neo over a Red or orange neo, if any. I want to get a green tree that is going to be a nice bright green and would like one that shows a lot of blues. Is the Yellow neo going to be brighter than a red neo? I am still researching these snakes every day but haven’t come across anything for this. I currently own a Female Green Tree that has nice blues but I got her as a young adult and she was fully green with nice blues. Thank you for any help.

Now I am not very experienced with green trees, but I did learn that the color of the snake when it is a neonate controls what color the snake's young will be as neonates.
I do not know if yellows turn out differently than shades of red, but they all end up relatively the same.

how does that explain babies that are both born red and yellow from one single clutch? I dont think the whole color of babies thing has been figured out yet..if it has i would like to read about it as well?
