What kind of Map is this?? (Pic)

hellboy6661 Apr 18, 2012 10:46 PM

Can someone please tell me exactly what kind of map turtle this is? Every one that i've seen has different kind of eyes and different shell markings. My female map has all black eyes, not small pupils like sliders have. I just googled every type of map turtle i could find and none of them look like mine. some maybe parts of the shell or colors on the head but none have the same type eyes with the exact shell markings/designs. the baby maps I have are exactly like this one, too. I'd like to find out exactly what type of map they are before I put them up for adoption. I've got lots of babies.

Looks like a fairly typical Mississippi map to me.there's always going to be a little variation from the "norm", so in maps it's helpful to look at the head striping patterns
