That question is WAY to wide open to solicit any specific responses.

I would strongly suggest getting a copy of the Savannah Monitor book by Bennett and Ravi. It is now out of print, but we have about 10 copies left, available at our site. Best monitor captive husbandry book available, and the other Savannah/Albig books out there are terrible.

Best of luck to you and your animals.

DO you know age savannahs have to be before they can breed? how long does it take for the eggs to hatch? How many eggs do they lay?? these are a few questions i have about breeding them!

Savannas can reach maturity in 2 years or 5 years. It depends on how much you feed and the level of care you give them. Keep in mind they are rarely bred so for all we know, you can get them to breed in a year. With monitors, its usually size that dictates breeding, not age. There's a report of a pair of argus monitors breeding at about 6 months old and they are generally are larger than savannas.

Read the link I gave you, it's the only in depth breeding report I've found on this species. And like Robyn said, the savanna monitor book from Danniel Bennett is the ONLY good book you'll find on them. If you look to buy any books on monitors, DO NOT get any from a pet store, generally speaking, they are complete s**t.
