found in WI:

I attended several Midwest Herpetological Society Conferences during the mid nineties and I seem to recall a vendor from Iowa exhibiting and selling these. He was obviously breeding them and displayed adults and hatchlings. I do not recall his name or who he was. Does anyone know and is anyone else working with these (by now)?

They thought it was a corn snake, are you kidding me?! And, I've seen photos of at least two other examples, it is surely not the only one in existence!

I don't ever recall anyone working with amelanistic true Fox Snakes. There was a big thread on FHF regarding that animal just a while back. That is the only one I am aware of. Some awesome snake "experts" alright with their suspected cornsnake nonsense..HAHA!!!. For chrissakes, I could tell the very instant I saw the photos that it UN-DOUBTEDLY keyed-out as a totally genuine amel Fox Snake.

That one resides at the "New Zoo" near Green Bay, WI.

Good luck finding any of those in the hobby..

I just remembered that Don Soderberg has a photo of an amel Fox Snake that I had filed away, but I have no idea whatever became of it though. I will try to make a point to ask him about it.
