Difference of YB slider/eastern cooter

I know cooters gets bigger, but i really cant see the difference between similar sized animals.
Can you guys tell me some things to look for.

Yellow bellies have a couple black dots on their plastrom. Cooters have a plain yellow belly with only a couple markings near the edge.
