Spotted Python or Childrens Python

dylpro May 06, 2012 03:17 PM

So I asked this on yahoo answers, but no one answered it so I'm hoping someone can help me. Here's what I posted on yahoo,

"I adopted her from a Petco here in town. She was given to them because the owner could not handle her. The second I saw her I fell in love with her. She was such a curious little snake. Well today she's real aggressive, but I still love her to death. But I'm beginning to question if she really is a Spotted Python. I looked up Spotted Pythons on google images and found a snake that didn't resemble her at all. I then looked up Childrens pythons and she seems to resemble it more. So if anyone could identify her for me, thank you!"

Just copied it from there. Here's a picture of her.

First off, I gotta ask you: What the hell is it doing in the pic? Secondly, Spotted are pretty variable! I can also see Children's! Do you have a better (clearer) pic?

Haha yes, well, like I said she's a pretty aggressive snake. I use a glove to take her in and out of her cage, otherwise she'll strike at me and refuses to let go. I didn't have the glove last night, so I just use a small wash cloth, and she bit it and wouldn't let go. So since she's usually a quick snake I thought this would be a good chance to get a picture of her without her squirming away.

It's a Children's.
