any thoughts?

other than just being an Eastern Diamondback, I don't see anything unique about it?
The fusion of a few diamonds isn't that unusual.

Yeah, it has that one neat pattern aberrancy about 1/3 of the way back from the head, but that is not all that uncommon. I have seen several (somewhat, but not exactly) like that. Nice looking specimen.
~~Greg~~
heres a few more shots...the the pattern is a little differnet but her coloration is to me differnet? I am color blind so seeing any aberrancy is difficult so you tell me what you think.
a few more pics for your viewing pleasure...I took pics with a few of my normals to give an idea of the differences ...your feedback will be greatly appreciated...btw this female was collected at a site where a patternless was killed this past summer...

Colors on adamanteus can vary greatly. I remember having one that was so dark that from a distance you would swear it was a cottonmouth. I have also had a couple that were abnormal in coloration, one being leucistic, the other ash gray in color, with pattern. That one of yours is a very nice looking animal and definitely worth breeding. ~~Greg~~
snowflake? what a speciman ashamed she never bred...Thanks for your feedback...she is gorgeous and plan to breed for sure...
Yeah, I took care of Snowflake for a while during one of Bill's long sojourns. She was an amazing animal. ~~Greg~~
this one unfortunately met its death last summer....according to the land owner this snake had no stripe and was solid in color...I have since gotten sole rights to hunt the site and assured no more killings

Yeah, that's pretty sad to see. That was one sweet looking specimen.......

Yead Dan I have the keys to the property now. I have the exact spot it was killed. I also have 2 females from the exact tract of land. Ive been treking around in a jeep and on foot for the past 3 weeks for a male....The females are crusing their enclosure i think they are looking for some loving. Could you imagine the jubilation of one of them popping out a completely patternless.......shaaaaaxzammmmmmmm
I agree...very cool looking. I've seen one VERY similar to it in the Vero area.

good news...got a male in with her from same site....is it too late in the spring for a possible copulation? Have them together but havent visually confirmed anything. And is it common for male to musk on female????she has a dried white residue towrards her rear protion of her body...
Good deal!. I don't "think" it's too late in the season for breeding EDB's, but I am not a real Crotalid breeder guru either....I specialize in colubrids. Do you have a photo of this?. I wonder if she didn't get pooped on by the male instead. I see this happen ALL THE TIME when colubrids are freshly introduced to each other without them "purging" beforehand...LOL! When they get all worked-up and start actively crawling around the enclosures they often poop wherever it may happen to be almost like clock-work..LOL!

Wow Rusty!,.....Did you come across it while you were golfing again???. You seem to have pretty good luck stumbling upon cool herps when golfing. Your photos of you wrestling gators, finding Yellow rats and bloodred corns with your golf gloves and visor on come to mind..LMAO!!...

it must been musk....figured it was...didnt see any defecation so was perplexed...just yesterday the female was out and she was scenting up a storm in the box...Now the waiting begins...
I agree,.....producing any that looked like that patternless one that met it's un-timely demise would be incredible!!..

hey man that was the second one like that killed in that area....the last one was striped down back but the stripe was a darker shade and not sloind color....ill see if i can find the pic
not solid color....my dislexic self
big male found first....the girl was collected 3 weeks ago...theyve been together now for 2 weeks....The male was 20 yards from female.....And they were withing 100 yeards of kill site of the patternless...fingers are crossed..originally thought larger was female...did a subcadal count and nope she is he...
Very nice. Hope all goes well with them breeding. I'd definitely like to see a photo of the aberrant specimen if you can dig it up. Very sad that it too was whacked.
